Had a great consult with our surgeon today. She’s optimistic about the chemo and the outcome. We start the six week chemotherapy program tomorrow. One heck of a Valentine.
Nora is feeling good, but a little tired from all the poking and needles. We are both relieved that treatment is finally starting.
Nora’s dog, Tybee, knows something is up.
My dog, Bob, knows that the tennis ball should be in her mouth, in the air, or under a cabinet, unreachable.
We’ve added a private message area for anyone who would prefer to keep their thoughts and comments for Nora alone.
Nora has read your comments and greatly appreciates all them and your text messages, care packages, and positive energy flowing this way. Might be able to avoid the light bill with all that power. We’ve very excited about a visit by Dustin this weekend. He’s never been to “The Ridge.”
Keep commenting whenever you want. It really helps Nora’s spirit. Our neighborhood is the greatest! Thank you all.
Paul
Hi Nora,
We haven’t met — I’m the nut (former actress) Paul may have spoken about. I was supposed to come visit last year to get me out of my depression but I was too depressed. And then you moved. I am so shocked to hear of your news and await further developments. Since I’m (now) a medical editor, I would understand the medical diagnosis. Assume that you’re being well taken care of and it’s just amazing what they can do these days. As I once read, while in the hospital, keep your spirits up and your gown down! Not to make a serious situation light… My thoughts and prayers are with you and Paul. He’s a great guy to have to help you face this thing. Love, Mary
Love you Nora- here’s to a good Valentines Day knowing you are on your way to kicking it- I censoring myself so Diane doesn’t give me the look..
Thanks Paul for the update. Nora, we love you and are thinking of you and sending all positive thoughts and energy your way. Muster all the strength you have to fight this batter and know that we are behind you all the way. The Coleman (and Odom) resolve are on your side. Love to you and Paul,’

I meant battle not batter…although with our ties to baseball it might be appropriate!
